Devotionals | Power of Prayer

We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. Job is an example of a man who endured patiently. From his experience we see how the Lord's plan finally ended in good, for he is full of tenderness and mercy. (James 5:11 NLT)
Are any among you suffering? They should keep on praying about it. And those who have reason to be thankful should continually sing praises to the Lord. (James 5:13 NLT)
  • Sometimes we suffer because of our principles, because of our belief, our faith. We suffer because the world do not understand the things that we do, the things that we fight for.
  • Job suffered greatly but he endured all his sufferings patiently and ALL THINGS worked together for His good because God honored his suffering,. Because our God is tender and merciful. He never wants his children to suffer for eternity, but for them to experience His great love.
  • Those who suffer must pray. They must keep on praying about it. And those who experience God's love and has all the reason for praise must continue praising Him.

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.  (James 5:16 NLT)
  • Fellowship with other believers are important. Confessing sins to one another and praying for each other brings healing. God's presence is there when 2 or 3 are gathered together in His name.
  • The prayer of the righteous has GREAT power and WONDERFUL results.

My dear brothers and sisters, if anyone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back again, you can be sure that the one who brings that person back will save that sinner from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins. (James 5:19-20 NLT)
  • Those who have backslidden and was brought back again to Christ, those who brought them back has saved that person from death and brought to him forgiveness of many sins.
  • There is always hope to people who have already turned their backs to God. We should never stop praying about them.
