Last Thursday (March 28, 2013) we had our (M.I.A.) first makeup and styling gig for a Pre-nup Shoot. M.I.A. (Make-up In Action) is a group of soon-to-be-professional hair and makeup artists and fashion stylists. Currently we are taking up trainings and classes as we aspire to be good professionals someday.

We went to Lakeshore, Mexico, Pampanga for the photoshoot venue. For our first gig, this trip was really amazing. Our first client was a good friend and a church mate. We volunteered to do our services for her for the sake of trying out how good we can get with the business.

We ate lunch first before we started the shoot since we arrived at lunch, 3 hours of travel with heavy traffic can be really tiring. After our lunch, we set up our things on a provided tent. Take note, it was very hot during that time. I worried that all my makeup would melt. So we really need to hurry and get this done before we sweat up! And our photographer, Dan Cercado, needed the "sun" for one of his shots. :P

The couple really trusted us with this and they are very accommodating. A very sweet couple indeed. As we see them work out the shots, they are really a match made in heaven.

My Version of the Pier Shot

All clothes worn by the Bride-to-Be were supplied by La Moda Preciosa as designed by yours truly. :) See my sketches of these clothes on my previous blog post (Fashion Friday | Fashion illustration: 1940's Inspired Design). Her makeup was also made by yours truly. I used a simple eye makeup, simple brow and cheek color with a stunning Red Lips. Perfect for a 1940's theme.

Personally, doing makeup was just a hobby. A hobby turned business. We aimed to cater good-quality service to our clients and we do hair/makeup/styling for events, shoots, prenup, and weddings. You can check our facebook page here.
