Happy Easter

I know it's a bit overdue but this year's Holy Week has been one of the best. ;) First, my mom celebrated her birthday on the 30th of March which was a Black Saturday. And second I went to church with family on Easter Sunday.

We celebrated her birthday watching the best Filipino Romantic Comedy movie yet! Yes, it's the talk of the town... "It Takes A Man And A Woman" ;) A sequel of two box office hit movies "A Very Special Love" and "You Changed My Life" starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo.

And to assure ourselves that we will get a seat, I would like to thank Sureseats for giving us a hassle free purchase of movie tickets! :D Yay! Almost didn't make it, but thanks to technology, everything now is made possible.

I am so glad my mom enjoyed the movie. Both my parents were so moved by the plot, and we really really really loved it! I can even watch 100 times over and ofer again!!! That's how nice it was. (I even had a "kilig" hangover... Until now. Haha)

So there, we had dinner at Amici's and ofcourse, when you're in a mall... You can't help but check out "stuff". And I must confess.. I bought some. Not with credit card (yay!) but with cash. :)

Here are some of my purchase:

Parian Spirit Professional Makeup Brush Cleaner from SUESH.

(An addition to my daily hair regimen - will blog about this soon!)
I would be using them for an upcoming bridal makeup gig. So really, all of these are "investments". I listed them down so I would know if I already had ROI. ;) - i'm just so good at defending purchases.

Sunday, we went to church at Victory Alabang where my parents attend services. And i took a picture of their display... The very picture of faith. An empty cross and an empty tomb.

Then I realized how grateful I am that I am not serving a dead God... But a living God. A God that died for me then rose again to set me free. So that in his resurrection, I too can share his resurrection. I am no longer dead, but Christ lives in me. ;) ♥

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 NLT)

So for my next book, I am currently reading "The Radical Cross" by A.W.Tozer ;) perfect for this season of remembering why Jesus died for us. The real power of the Cross.

Happy Easter to all of you!
